Written by Kristian Shirallie

Getting Started

To begin, open the Research and Drafting module from your dashboard.

Select the Research and Drafting tile to launch the Legal Research workflow.

📎 Importing an existing document? Use the Import Document option at the top of the intake step to base your research on an existing file (complaint, contract, brief, etc.).

You'll arrive at the first step of this litigation feature.

If you'd like some guidance, select Quick Start Examples to view sample prompts and ideas for what to enter.

You'll need to complete the required fields:

  1. Title

  2. Fact Pattern

  3. Most Relevant Jurisdiction (the state)

  4. Who You Represent (Plaintiff or Defendant)

Advanced Options:

Scroll down to view Advanced Options (optional).

Here, you can refine your analysis by entering Focus Areas, choosing specific Courts to Include, identifying the Litigation Stage, and adding any Complex Jurisdictional Issues.

When all information is entered, click Continue to Follow-Up Questions.

This page generates follow up questions based on your intake information. Answer any that apply as these help refine your research (optional).

You have the option to "Include" or "Exclude" the answers from your research workflow. These questions help us better understand your case. Just toggle which one by selecting either option. You must exclude the answer if you do not enter anything in the answer bubble.

If you'd like new or different questions, select Regenerate Questions at the bottom of the page.

When finished, click Continue to save your work.

Note: Going back before continuing will erase your answers.
