Use our Depositions tool to quickly generate clear summaries, spot inconsistencies in a deposition transcript, and draft focused follow up questions.
From the home page, go to the Litigation section and select Depositions to get started.
To get started, select the blue Add Matter button.
You will need to enter the Matter Title, a brief description of the deposition transcript you are uploading, and some background information about your case. You may also fill out the optional fields if you’d like. Once you click Create in the bottom right corner, you will move on to the next step.
You will now be asked to upload your files. On the left side, you can upload supporting documents such as legal briefs or complaints. On the right side, you can upload one deposition transcript. Please note any file requirements listed on the page. You can drag and drop your files or click Select File to upload them.
Once your documents are uploaded, you may see this page while the system finishes processing your files.
You have now successfully uploaded your documents. You will be taken to the Summary and Quotes page, where you can view a summary of your deposition along with key quotes pulled directly from your transcript.
If you scroll down, you will also see any inconsistencies that were detected in the transcript.
If you have questions about your transcript, go to the Find Answers tab. Type your question into the chat box and click Send to receive a response.
If you ever want to revisit your work, go to the Command Center on the left side of your screen. There you can access the documents you uploaded as well as your deposition transcript.
If you would like to generate your own deposition prep questions, go to the Form Questions tab on the right side of your screen.
Enter the information for the party you will be deposing, including background details and the types of questions you would like included.
You can indicate whether the deponent is an expert witness and add any areas you want to explore, such as discrediting a witness or identifying potential bias. You also have the option to upload relevant documents using the drag and drop box.
Once everything is filled out, select the blue Generate Questions button to create your deposition questions.
You will now see Strategies, Questions, and Suggestions populated based on the information you provided.
To return to your deposition at any time, navigate to the Command Center. You will find this information under Depositions Prep Questions.
For any questions about this workflow, you can start a chat by clicking the support bubble in the bottom right corner of your screen. We are happy to help!
