Getting Started: Organizing Your Matter and Workflow

This workflow is designed to help you keep everything in one place so you can move from intake to output without losing context.

While you can run any StrongSuit tool directly from the home screen, we recommend creating a matter first. Organizing your work inside a matter means your documents, tasks, and outputs all stay connected — and context you build in one tool carries into the next. It takes about 60 seconds and makes everything easier to find later.

Step by Step

Go to the Home page


Select the Matter Portal tile on the left side of the screen.


You will be taken to the Matter Portal dashboard.


Select New Matter in the top right of your dashboard.


You will now see the option to Create New Matter.


Enter key details such as Title, Matter Type, and Matter Details.

For best results, complete each field with as much relevant detail as possible.


After completing all required fields, select Create New Matter.


Your matter will now appear on your dashboard.


You can access your matter by selecting the tile, clicking the matter title, or using the three-dot menu.


Once inside your matter, you will see sections for an Overview, Tasks, and Files.


To begin your workflow, navigate to the Files tab and upload all relevant documents for your matter.


Your uploaded files will appear in the Files tab.


Navigate to the Tasks tab and select New Task.

Here, you can select the tool you want to use to begin your task.


You can add files from your matter by using the Add Existing Files option within the module.
